Icons of Industry Recognizes Amar Prasad as a Healthcare Icon 2026

NEW YORK, NY — Icons of Industry today announced that Amar Prasad, SVP of Healthcare Solutions at Persistent Systems, has been recognized as a Healthcare Icon 2026 for his leadership in advancing healthcare technology solutions for payers, providers, and health technology companies.

Prasad leads the Solutions, Consulting, and Domain group for Healthcare and Life Sciences at Persistent Systems, building the solutions and go-to-market strategy for payers, providers, medical technology, and scientific instruments clients. He joined Persistent Systems in 2023 after serving as General Manager of Healthcare Solutions at Mindtree and more than seven years in healthcare consulting leadership at Wipro, including as Partner (Director) of Healthcare Consulting and Solutions. Earlier in his career, he spent more than a decade in a long-term onsite consulting engagement at Kaiser Permanente, directing portfolio teams and technology delivery for healthcare analytics, population health, and clinical decision support applications, with an earlier project role at UnitedHealth Group.

The recognition comes as new industry research highlights the gap Prasad has spent his career closing. A 2026 report from Mathematica and Reveleer found that nearly every provider organization now reports having the infrastructure in place for value-based care, yet 90 percent of providers and 85 percent of payers describe their own platforms as too complex to use effectively. Separately, industry data shows that only 29 percent of hospitals can integrate data from outside providers into their own electronic health records.
